Jersey Telecom launches gigabyte broadband
All the new Castle Quay development residents of St Heleir are the very first ones to experience the super fast broadband connection from Jersey Telecom. This brand new 1GB connection is almost 50 times faster than the recently launched 20Mb broadband speeds that are available to almost quarter of the population in the island.
Jersey Telecom, a company owned by the government, said that it will be investing around 40 million pounds in fiber optic network. The CEO of Jersey Telecom, Graeme Miller said that this super fast broadband internet is a “real landmark”. He maintained that this will add a new dimension to the lives of the people living in the island.
